AT Passport Owner (AT User)

The passport puts the user in full control of their own AT journey. It is a portable, lifelong digital record of needs, equipment, funding and supports that travels with the person across all life stages — eliminating the need to repeatedly prove need or start from scratch when moving between school, work, or home. The user decides who can see their passport and what they can access.

Funder (HSE)

Real-time management oversight of AT spending, outcomes and trends — enabling evidence-based procurement decisions, budget planning and clear demonstration of value for money.

AT provider / assessor

A consolidated record of the user's history, prior assessments and current needs — reducing duplication and supporting more timely, informed clinical and technical decision-making.

AT partner

Access only to the AT-relevant information needed in their specific setting — making it straightforward to implement appropriate accommodations without requiring full reassessment at every transition.

Policymakers & researchers

Anonymised, aggregated data providing a national picture of AT need, provision, costs and outcomes — directly informing future policy, resource planning and research priorities.

AT loan library

A mechanism for passport holders to trial assistive technologies before purchase — reducing the risk of abandonment and ensuring the chosen solution genuinely fits individual needs.

Info / CHAT

A national peer support and information network connecting AT users, providers, researchers and innovators — feeding lived experience back into the ecosystem to keep it current and responsive.
